Semaglutide is one of the most widely distributed research peptides, and one of the most frequently misrepresented. The two questions worth answering on a vial are whether the peptide present is semaglutide at all, and how much of it is actually there. Our standard panel answers both: identity by retention time against a certified reference standard, purity as a percentage of total peak area by HPLC-DAD, and quantity in milligrams per vial against the declared strength. Quantity is the figure that most often disagrees with a label, because a lyophilised cake is mostly excipient by volume and looks the same whether it holds 5 mg of peptide or 2 mg. If you are comparing one source against another, test the same lot number you intend to keep buying.
